Usage

General Usage

First of all, door are used to enter and exit buildings, but there is also other aspect that the player can interfere with. Doors can be locked and unlocked. they also can be use to transfer letters via mailboxes.

Entering/Exiting

To enter and exit a building with a door, you need to be over a door pickup. When close enough, you should see one of the following commands displayed over the pickup. The pickup should be placed in front of the physical door that you will role-play to use. Note: If the door is locked by it's owner, you will not be able to enter the building. However, when inside the building, you will be able to leave it even if the door is locked. It is then impossible to kidnap someone and lock it inside your home.

Locking/Unlocking

To lock and unlock a building's door, you need to be over a door pickup. The pickup should be placed in front of the physical door that you will role-play to use. Note: You can use the locking command inside or outside of the building. However, if you are not the owner of the door, you will not be able to lock/unlock it.

Interacting With Mailboxes

To drop a letter in someone's mailbox, you need to be over an exterior door pickup. If there is a mailbox, a dialogue will ask you to choose what you want to send, be sure to send the good letter because it is nor reversible.
To pick up mail from your mailbox, you need to be over an exterior door pickup. If you have mail in your mailbox, a dialogue will show you what letter you have received. When you pick up the mail, the letters go directly into your inventory. Note: Some door does not have a mailbox, to have a mailbox, your door must have a unique zip code.

Buying/Selling doors

You can buy a door instantly if it is for sales. However, to sell one of your door, you have to go to the City Planning Department.

Opening New Buildings

When ever you see a building that does not have any door associated, keep in mind that you can buy this door at the City Planning Department.
